Most of us have felt the pain of getting our fingers caught in a door or being cut by scissors. Though such wounds usually heal quickly, the experience reminds us of the importance of taking great care when using potentially dangerous tools or machines.
This course aims at preventing workplace accidents with far more serious consequences, including crushed or severed fingers, amputated limbs, and blindness, that can result from operating or working around different types of machines.
By identifying the hazards associated with various machines used commonly in the workplace and by instructing workers in the correct use of machine safeguards, the course can prevent potentially devastating accidents, sparing employees the pain of injury and businesses the loss of productivity that can result from improper or unsafe work practices.
