To retain PHR, SPHR, or GPHR designations, the HR Certification Institute requires all certificants to recertify every three years by accumulating 60 educational hours.
If you're taking a course for the first time, you may submit the credits earned to HR Certification Institute (HRCI) for your recertification. New editions1 of the same course may be retaken for recertification credit, either within the same recertification cycle or in a subsequent recertification three-year period.
If you're Seeking Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits and the course carries CLE credits:
Florida
Members of The Florida Bar are assigned a reporting date and are required to complete 30 hours of approved CLE every three years. Five of these credit hours must be in the area of Ethics, Professionalism, Substance Abuse, or Mental Illness Awareness.
A course that has been updated by The Human Equation and/or renewed by The Florida Bar will receive a new CLE course identification number. Members who have taken a previous version of an updated course may submit credits earned for the updated/renewed course during the same reporting period or a subsequent period. CLE credit may not be counted for more than one reporting period and may not be carried forward to subsequent reporting periods.
Georgia
Active members of the State Bar of Georgia, except newly admitted members, must complete a minimum of twelve (12) hours of actual instruction in an approved CLE activity during each year. If a member completes more than twelve hours in a year, the excess credit may be carried forward and applied to the education requirement for the succeeding year only. Included within the annual twelve-hour requirement, is the requirement that each active member complete a minimum of one hour in the area of ethics and one hour in the area of professionalism.
If you're Seeking NASBA Certification and the course carries CPE credits:
The Human Equation, as a provider of self-study courses, is a registered member of NASBA's Quality Assurance Service (QAS), as required by Florida's State Board of Accountancy. Courses designated as providing CPE credit meet the requirements and uniform standards for continuing education in the accounting profession.
State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Please check with your state's board.
If you're seeking Florida Community Association Management (CAM) continuing education credits and the course carries Florida CAM credits:
Community Association Managers licensed in Florida must satisfactorily complete 20 hours of continuing education during each biennium prior to the license renewal date. The courses required are in the following areas: 4 hours of legal update seminars; 4 hours on insurance and financial management topics relating to community association management; 4 hours on the operation of the association's physical property; 4 hours on human resources topics relating to community association management - topics may include, but are not limited to, disaster preparedness, employee relations, and communications skills for effectively dealing with residents and vendors; and 4 hours of additional instruction in any area described in Rule 61E14-4.001(3)(b), (c) or (d) Florida Administrative Code or any course or courses directly related to the management or administration of community associations.
